Zero Chance of Passage: Grand Prize Winner! Tune in to KARE 11 today

I am thrilled to share some special news. You may not know that last year I chose to self-publish my book, Zero Chance of Passage: The Pioneering Charter School Story. Self-publishing is a challenging experience, almost like the rocky journey I traveled in pioneering the first charter school law. So you can imagine my surprise to learn that Zero Chance was selected Grand Prize winner of the Writer’s Digest 21st annual Self-Published Book Awards out of more than 2,500 entries! As a result, my book is endorsed by Writer’s Digest and is being submitted to ten major review houses. Who would have thought? Check out the Writer’s Digest news release here.

KARE 11 invited me to talk about the self-publishing journey today, November 6, at 4 p.m. Do you have a story to tell? Self-publishing may be for you! It isn’t easy, but it’s worth it. If you can’t watch today, you can watch later on the KARE website.

To all the people who helped make this book possible, who purchased a copy, who spread the word about the pioneering story, or who just provided me support along the way, thank you. It’s time to celebrate!
